Suspension & Steering

Struts, shocks, control arms, ball joints, tie rods, power steering, and full alignment services.

Your suspension and steering system is what keeps your tires planted on the road, your stops in a straight line, and your ride from beating you up over Southern California's expansion joints and potholes. Worn components don't just feel bad — they extend your stopping distance, accelerate tire wear, and compromise your control in an emergency. A loose tie rod or worn ball joint is a real safety issue.

The most common suspension repairs we see are worn struts and shocks, leaking power steering, broken sway bar links, worn ball joints, tie rod ends, and bushings that have hardened or torn with age. Many drivers don't realize how worn their suspension is until they drive a friend's car of the same model — that's when it becomes obvious. We do thorough wheels-off suspension inspections so you know exactly what's worn, what's safe, and what should be the next priority.

Steering complaints come in many forms — pulling to one side, vibration in the wheel at highway speed, looseness in the on-center feel, hard steering at low speeds. Each of these has different causes, and the right diagnosis matters. Pulling, for example, can be alignment, a brake issue, a tire problem, or a suspension component. We don't guess — we check tire pressure and condition first, then put it on the alignment rack and run a full suspension inspection.

All our alignment work is done on a modern computerized rack with up-to-date specs for every vehicle we service, including European and Asian imports that have specific procedures most quick-lube shops can't perform. After any major suspension work — strut replacement, control arm replacement, tie rod replacement — an alignment is required, and we include or recommend it as part of the job.
