Tune-Ups & Scheduled Maintenance

Spark plugs, filters, fluid services, belts, and the manufacturer-recommended maintenance that keeps your vehicle running its best.

Modern "tune-ups" don't look like the carburetor adjustments of decades past, but the goal is the same: replace wear items on schedule so your engine runs efficiently, your fuel economy stays where it should, and your vehicle lasts as long as it was designed to. Manufacturer maintenance schedules exist because engineers tested exactly when each component starts to lose performance — and ignoring them is how easy maintenance becomes expensive repair.

A typical tune-up at our shop includes spark plug replacement (most modern engines specify iridium or platinum plugs at 60,000 to 100,000 miles), ignition coil inspection, air filter and cabin air filter replacement, fuel filter service when applicable, throttle body cleaning if symptoms warrant it, and a fresh check of your engine's PCV system. We also handle belt and hose inspection — a snapped serpentine belt or a burst coolant hose can leave you stranded on the 91, and both are easy to catch early.

Beyond the standard tune-up, we follow your vehicle's maintenance schedule in full: timing belts and timing chain components when due, transmission and differential fluid services, coolant flushes, brake fluid flushes, power steering fluid services, and any vehicle-specific service intervals (some European brands have unique procedures every 30,000, 60,000, or 90,000 miles). We pull up your specific schedule and walk through what's recommended versus what we actually need to do based on the condition we observe.

If you bought a used vehicle and aren't sure what's been done, bring it in for a full inspection. We'll get a baseline of fluid conditions, belt and hose age, filter condition, and any maintenance flags so you can plan ahead instead of being surprised.
